I Has Twitter

It’s over in one of the boxes to the right.

Let’s see how long I use it before I get bored and let it go stagnant.

Still on vacation from work until the 3rd of August. Hope everyone is still doing okay without me.

UPDATE

I’m presently on vacation from work watching my son, William Beta.

So far, no bugs detected, no coding errors found and no massive lag. However, there are times when the buffer overflows and I have to use a rag to clean it up.

I’m absolutely loving our together time, though. He’ll be a reader/gamer yet.

Jakarta, Indonesia

After 4 years of pretty peaceful living, Indonesia was rocked when two bombs simultaneously went off at two hotels in Jakarta. After India’s bombings, I was wondering how long it would take for Indonesia to start having issues again. It’s primarily a Muslim country where ethnic divides are strained, similar to Iraq’s problems.

China does what China always does – as the 60th anniversary of the Communist regime approaches, they go bonkers on the possible trouble-makers. It’s a Communist-Corporate nation – the government/businesses don’t want human rights for common people because that means cutting into their power and profits.

It’s interesting to see how Iran is suddenly facing a lot of anti-Iranian government protests. First the election, and now the reaction to their top cleric’s criticism of the hardliner party in control. Great time to engage these people with some diplomacy – it may actually pay off in the end.

Politics as Usual

Sonia Sotomayor is most likely going to be the next Supreme Court Justice, as even her largest critic – Senator Sessions – seems to be pleased after today’s grilling by Arizona’s Senator Nobody-We-Fucking-Care-About. I avoid talking about this because I don’t give a fuck anymore.

Huckabee criticized, then advised Palin to remain a Republican, because the “Republicans need effectors, not defectors,” whatever the fuck that means. He’s suck a fuckwit. I don’t want to really talk about that either.

Conversations of a Day Shift McClaud
(In a meeting with a programming team)
McClaud: I already told you that we don’t do that. That’s not effective, that’s not safe, and there’s no paper trail.
Programmer: Look, we don’t really care about …
McClaud: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
Programmer: What are you doi -
McClaud (continuing): FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
Programmer: Could you please stop doing that that’s -
McClaud (still going): FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
Programmer: Fine! Whatever. Just stop making that noise!
McClaud (still going): FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
Programmer: You know what? I’m leaving.
(Programming team walks out)
McClaud: FFFFFFFFFFFFFinally they shut up and left.
Coworker: FFFFFFFucking brilliant!

T. M. 8. A.

That’s the team that went out today and made a record to run a program to mess with client files. I didn’t have any info about what this job did, so my brain threw that info away.

Later on, I get a request to run jobs to access files to pass information to clients (Conversions and Team GEC). Almost immediately, one of the pass files dies. The other won’t even go because it’s reading an error in the code.

So we dick with it, and dick with it, and Conversions keeps handing me records to run different programs to fix files. 3 fucking hours of it. Then GE gets on my case – “why can’t our job run?” Because the files are fucked, that’s why. I was pissed and confused as to why Conversions screwed up our files.

Then – just as the guy from Conversions comes on and tells me his replacement is taking over for the day – I find out that the team now fixing files is TM8A. Wait – TM8A? Why?

BECAUSE THOSE FUCKERS BROKE THE FILES.

So much hate for them. I’m going home late late because I have to stay and wait to run the pass programs.

Guess where TM8A is located? MOTHERFUCKING INDIA!!!

* Malk pointed out that 8 is not a letter … doh!

And Now 67%

Of polled Republicans decided that they won’t vote for Palin due to her resignation and the revelation of more ethics violations during her term of service as governor of Alaska.

The 33% who said they will have stipulations to their votes, and that puts her ability to run for President even further into the tank.

(this is mostly in response to Lord Omlette’s comment on my last post that he thinks Palin could somehow dredge up enough support to run)
