Wow. 56 Comments?

I logged in today to write a shorter than usual blag post, and was surprised to see a big red 56 next to my comments. Of course, about 4 or 5 of them were spam trying to cleverly (or not so cleverly) masquerade as real posts. The rest were fun to read, and some of them will get approved when I get done writing this.
Apparently, people are largely divided on what to do about Iraq. We broke the 4k death toll mark just recently, and it’s still growing. Most of them know it’s a mess that is almost unsalvagable, but know we have to do something. Don’t worry - most of Iraq doesn’t know what to do about Iraq, either. Bush’s answer is to throw more money at it in 2009 - well, throw more at his contractor constituents, anyway. We know exactly how competent his Administration is now, don’t we?
What’s the answer? I don’t know myself. I do know that we have to force the Iraqi government to decide either to take itself seriously or just disband and split Iraq into three pieces. We can’t sit there and hold their hands. They have billions of dollars rolling in from oil revenue, yet they still take our money. Next year should be put up or shut up time for them. Seriously. A timetable needs to be established.
Anyway, I have to give it to Obama - he has more guts than anyone in the Democratic Party. O’Reilly is the worst neo-Con fucktard this country has to put up with at times. Fox News has no clue how much worse he makes them look.
Reining in credit card companies should have been a priority 5 years ago, instead of waiting until we have an economy problem on our hands. The Feds are horrible at being pro-active to situations, and sometimes even worse when being reactive.
If you needed proof that Britain’s government is somewhat fucked up at times, here it is. They chose a vulgar, old-fashioned windbag over a brash, liberal go-getter. I know the Brits tend to be conservative, but JFC - a racist fossil?
