Not a lot of senators gain my genuine disdain, because that takes too much energy to dislike someone who I’ll most likely never meet. However, John McCain keeps pushing button after button with me as he runs around being more theatrical and less intelligent than Hilary Clinton (which is saying a lot). His gas tax holiday is idiotic (my opinion is backed big analysts, including Mike Bloomberg), his promises only mean a hike in taxes. He also has absolutely no real idea or is completely wrong on how to handle US foreign relations in the future. The guy is a charismatic sinkhole.
Superdelegates keep defecting from Hilary Clinton. A big wig chairperson of the DNC under Bill Clinton’s telling everyone to unite under Obama. My Republican friends are all now upset and afraid – they don’t want Obama to run against McCain, because he “will beat McCain hands-down” (their exact words). I don’t necessarily like Obama or the Democrats, but he is the best candidate for President. Well, he’s the least retarded one running, anyway.
More bombings in Iraq, kicking off the first of May with a bang (excuse the pun). Iraq has finally figured it out – they need to start pursuing their own peace mission with Iran, instead of relying on the US. All we do is blab on and on about it while people die. I applaud their efforts and their courage at this point.
When an oil company makes $10 billion, and that’s not enough, then there is something very, very, VERY wrong with our energy economy. Someone needs to remind them that they are still raping us for money, and we’re going to start driving more smartly soon due to gas prices, so that figure is probably going to SHRINK in the future. I can tell you if they try to massively raise prices again, they will be answering to mobs in the near future.
Omaha News: It’s official – the NCAA is going to allow Omaha to keep the College World Series (the CWS) only if we agree to move the games out of Rosenbladt Stadium in a year or two to a new, better stadium. Fuck any Omahans who think that a new stadium is a bad idea – either you get with the program or you STFU!!
